Profile/CV
Annalee “Annie” Cross joined Apple Box Studios as Art Director, bringing with her over a decade of design experience across technology, theater, and higher education. Prior to joining Apple Box Studios, Annie worked as a Sales Graphic Designer at TransPerfect, where she developed high-impact RFPs, pitch decks, and app wireframes that helped drive over $10 million in annual sales. Her collaborative work across eight verticals shaped the visual identity of a global communications brand rooted in clarity and consistency.
Before her time at TransPerfect, Annie led the full packaging rebrand for cellhelmet and its sister brand 3Gator, overseeing product design and retail execution. Earlier in her career, as Creative Director at Kelly Strayhorn Theater, she guided a team of designers and marketers in using visual storytelling to strengthen community engagement and elevate the theater’s artistic identity.
Since 2023, Annie has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Design at Point Park University, where she develops and teaches courses in typography, media design, and corporate identity. Through teaching, she continues to bridge professional practice with mentorship—helping emerging designers understand both the craft and strategy behind effective visual communication.
Drawing from this range of experiences, Annie approaches every project with a balance of creative intuition and disciplined design thinking. Her aesthetic influences—rooted in editorial design, minimalism, and cinematic composition—reflect her belief that visual communication should be as intelligent as it is inspiring.
When she isn’t designing or teaching, Annie spends her time exploring Pittsburgh’s creative scene, working on home improvement projects, and illustrating her next personal series. Her curiosity, humor, and commitment to creative storytelling define her approach as a designer and leader—someone whose work seeks to connect, inspire, and move people.
